Never even seen s Drumbrute in the flesh, let alone seen one for sale. But will let you know.
I'm mostly using my MV for sequencing external stuff (Q+, Integra, etc). The ease of editing MIDI data is what drew me to . But I've reecntly started to get my head around sampling - sort of like a bonus. I'm discovering that loading up a sample patch and then finding an interesting line/riff from the pads is easier than doing the same on a keyboard. I think that writing a melody on pads means I don't rely on my (poor) keyboard skills and cliches.
I found a Tom Waits-ish wandering bassline a couple of weeks ago that really isn't my style, but I can't shake it. Got to do something with it! Don't think I'm a typical MVer!
