Volume levels after applying MFX
« on: October 19, 2019, 08:23:44 am »
I must be doing something wrong.  Every time I apply an MFX to a track, there is a massive volume drop, and I can't see to find a blend or gain knob anywhere to offset it.  There isn't exactly a lot of headroom as well to boost via the mixer.

The effects are great on my guitar, but the volume drop kills it for me.

I'm sure mv-nation will set me straight!  :)

I experience the contrary, when I route a track to AUX1 with MFX assigned to this bus, I got boost in level, surelly it depends on the effect and settings though

That's exactly how I do it... just about all of them except for the distortions drop level significantly.  Flanger, bit reduction, choruses, etc...

its to do with the levels in the mixer probably (in both your cases)..the aux1 aux2 etc have a separate tab/page (aux/phrs/in tab)in the mixer. if you route a track to say aux1 but the level 0 on that tab your hear nothing. even if the track has level.

if that didnt solve it or provide a work around i wouldn't know.... cant say that i can reproduce this issue unless the aux level is significantly lower or higher than the track level.
