Hereís an example. Let me know how you make out. The reverb/gate in the MFX works pretty well. I did some experiments with it with some interesting results.

Sample the drum sound that you like as previously stated.  Now if you want to take it further you can put some reverb on a drum and resample it; then use a gate and resample again. Or you can use the reverb/gate effect in the MFX.  Use the drum from the song you sampled as a reference and it would help to know the drum machine they used and use a kit from that machine to help you dial in what you are looking for. I canít give you exact settings because there is no right or wrong. It all depends on what sound you like. YouTube is a great source for tutorials on the 80s drum sound technique. I can do a 808 for you real quick and Dropbox it to you if you like.

thanks wax, i'll be trying to build the ki myself. I could sample but i think it's important for me to learn the fundamentals of how the sound was produced so I'll try resampleing lie you suggested i will have many more noob production questions in the future

damn, how good are those tracks!
linn drum and roland pre-808 (the cr line) might be a better fit than then an 808, 909.

as for getting "that" sound, well, i'm a supremely lazy bastard -- i'd just sample drums that have the sound and be done with it.

can you run midi from your computer to the mv? maybe find a software arp. given how central the arp is to this music, it might be worth finding a good one.
if you don't want to bother with a midi connection. just run a software arp. look at what it does with the notes, then replicate that on the piano roll.
just sample it lol why didn't i think of that before lol, nah cant run midi to my pc but i guess i could look at a few fruit y loops vid as al i think is simular, I hate asking such noob questions but we all gotta start some where

Hey folks got some noob questions for some of the more experienced users I'm trying to get my drums to have the "synthwave" sound, I'm using an 808 kit and tr-909 kit for the track, how would you process the drums to get that truly 80's sound in the 8000? simulare to producers such as HOME or Biodrive, also are there any sold tutorials on using the piano roll function for creating  arpeggio

MV-General Production / How to put folder in Alphabetical order?
« Last post by SundaySon on October 11, 2017, 06:44:14 PM »
When you load samples in Windows, and you put it in order by name, then on the MV its all in a random order.
Any way known to fix this? I tried to reopen the MV in windows and arrange by name and refresh but still have all my files in a random order.
